Released in 2019, starring Sven Nordin as the Norwegian chief inspector Wisting, and Carrie Anne Moss as the visiting FBI agent Maggie Griffin.
Trygve Allister Diesen directed the season, and also wrote and created the series, based on Jørn Lier Horst’s novels.
Wisting got great reviews around the world, including the UK and the US. It broke Viaplay’s streaming record, and the pilot was the first Scandinavian teleplay to be nominated for an Edgar Award. It was also Norway’s most expensive series to date.
